I am delighted to announce another Lupot bow is entering the workshop in the late summer. with only superficial slight damage it is a fabulous example. It is totally original throughout and a stunning example of his F. X. Tourte model,
Note the early stamp, he stopped using this stamp around 1825.
Dont be fooled by the understated nature of the fittings, this is a world class stick, it doesn’t need to be fancy!
Note the slight damage to the nose of the head, this shall be attended to in the workshop.
Note the clear influence of F.X. Tourte even in the chamfers, beautifully executed here.
Undoubtedly this model was in James Tubbs’ mind in the 1900,s when he changed to his ‘blind’ frogs. A delight to see a fabulous original Button.
