Eugene Sartory circa 1908 ex Franz Kinberg

Complete with a wonderful certificate and 1993 insurance appraisal from the renowned American violin dealers Bein and Fushi. I am delighted to be able to offer this superb Sartory bow with wonderful playing credentials.  Its previous owner was Franz Kinberg,  one of the best American violin makers of his generation.

It has a long splice under the lapping and is stamped trice, once under the lapping and once more above the frog. Given the sublime quality of the stick it is not unreasonable to suggest Sartory himself may well have spliced the bow under the lapping since the blank for the stick may not have been long enough. I have seen this in other bows, most notably in a Fetique cello bow.
