Over the years I have been fortunate to use bows by all three makers, they are indeed sensational, but for me Pierre Simon has something very special, a spark of individuality in how his bows articulate. He is also the toughest to find, really fine bows by him are becoming extremely difficult to find.
Ex Vartan Manoogian Exhibition Sartory c. 1908 £10,000 sold to Itzak, Israel.
A superb Gold and Tortoiseshell example. This is a sensational example of Sartory’s most inspired work. The fittings are beautiful replica ones by the great british bow maker Michael Taylor, exact to the smallest detail.

A superb bow made when he was at his zenith; this is indeed a rare and highly desirable bow. Stamped Peccatte in the correct place with correct font this is a fine example of this wonderful craftsman. It is lovely to see how the chamfers are more open on the audience side.

Here is a delightful, and tremendously rare photograph of Voirin around the time he made this superb Vuillaume style bow. It is a sensational bow and uniquely fine to play on.
