Sold to Philip in Taiwan
There is a specific type of pernambuco Tubbs uses, it is unique to him but from a playing point of view it is top draw. This bow in particular is very attractive indeed, not the usual worn tired example!
Note the beautiful silver work on this bow, also you can see the damage on the handle. It looks a bit dramatic but once restoration has been carried out you will hardly see it and it shall be ok for another hundred years of use.
The previous two Tubbs bows were sold prior to the visit to the workshop such is the demand, this is the last Tubbs bow to be offered this year as I prepare to visit france to buy more French bows so do buy whilst available. Rest assured this is not a soft whippy tubbs but a first class playing bow of great beauty on a budget due to the handle damage.
