Why not begin 2021 with a Peccatte bow?
Here is a delightful Peccatte workshop bow, these relatively rare bows offer extraordinary value for money. As Jean-Francois Raffin said when looking over the bow to write the letter below
‘this is a nice and very good stick of the Francois Peccatte workshop in good condition’
This bow is in lovely condition the stick and button are correct, the frog is French being from a similar time but not from the workshop. According to documents in the early 1840’s Francois Peccatte employed about ten workers in Mirecourt, production levels were constantly high. Of course he often collaborated with his older brother, a certain Dominique!
I have sold a number of his workshop bows and they always delight from both an aesthetic and a playing point of view, very similar in feel to his brothers output, but without the hefty price tag.
