Eugene Sartory circa 1900

I am truly delighted to offer this bow for sale, especially since I have known this bow since owning it as a young player thirty years ago!   I sold it (a foolish move) in the 1990's to an established chamber player and promptly regretted the sale. It was then passed down to the son, also a fine chamber musician and recently returned to my collection.

It has a spliced new head, totally secure and strikingly similar to the original that sadly could not be repaired. That being said it is a first class early Sartory at a discount due to the damage.  The splice is so expertly done it takes a little time to figure out where it is,  I would just ignore it and enjoy the wonderful playing qualities that this bow brings. An exceptional bow that really helped me in the Berlin Phiharmonie Hall
